Why We Started Woodstead

After decades working within large corporate agencies, we noticed the same pattern: clients often felt like a number, conversations could feel scripted and the personal touch was often missing.

Jennifer Swinstead

Co-Founder and Director

Our Co-Founder Jennifer Swinstead began her career in residential sales and lettings over 25 years ago, quickly establishing herself as a driven and highly capable professional. Early on, she achieved her ARLA Propertymark qualification, laying the foundations for a career built on expertise, professionalism and integrity.

Jennifer became a highly successful corporate Branch Manager, consistently delivering outstanding results, and her leadership was recognised nationally through numerous industry awards.

Progressing into senior leadership, she has spent many years as an Area Director for several large national estate agency brands, driving strategic growth across multiple locations.

Alongside her residential experience, Jennifer is highly experienced in land valuing, new homes and shared ownership sales. She has held the role of Area Director for Land, New Homes and Shared Ownership, further cementing her reputation as a specialist in complex property markets.

Drawing on decades of knowledge and hands-on experience, Jennifer wanted to do things better, creating an estate agency that combines high-level expertise with a more personal, ethical and customer-focused approach.

Outside of work, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, walking at Gedling Country Park and Colwick Woods, trying local restaurants and enjoying The Lord Roberts Quiz in Hockley.

Jessica Woodward

Co-Founder and Director

Jessica Woodward is Co-Founder of the business and began her career in residential lettings and property management over five years ago. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for professionalism, reliability and a genuine people-first approach. Jessica holds the ARLA qualification with Propertymark, reflecting her commitment to high industry standards, compliance and best practice.

Prior to becoming Co-Founder, Jessica worked extensively as a Senior Lettings Negotiator and Property Manager, gaining valuable hands-on experience managing tenancies from start to finish. This background has given her a deep understanding of the needs of both landlords and tenants, as well as the importance of clear communication, attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.

Driven by a desire to do things better, Jessica is passionate about bringing care, trust and integrity back into estate agency. As Co-Owner, she focuses on creating a business that is professional yet personal, ensuring clients feel supported, informed and confident throughout their property journey.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys going to the gym, spending quality time with her family and taking long walks with her Samoyed, Sensei.
